VISUAL PRESENTER merupakan suatu media yang dapat digunakan untuk memproyeksikan suatu objek melalui bahan transparan atau bening. Kemudian dengan kombinasi VISUAL PRESENTER dapat digunakan untuk memproyeksikan tidak hanya bahan transparansi, tetapi juga dapat digunakan untuk memproyeksikan bahan cetakan, objek 3 dimensi, dan sumber tampilan yang berasal dari komputer.
Sebuah VISUAL PRESENTER minimal akan dilengkapi tombol/panel untuk menghidupkan, mematikan, dan mengatur fokus. Selain itu VISUAL PRESENTER memiliki komponen pokok di antaranya adalah CCD Camera. Sedangkan yang lain disebut komponen pendukung.
VISUAL PRESENTER selain dapat dioperasikan secara tunggal, dapat juga digunakan secara kombinasi, misalnya dikombinasikan dengan ATF, CPP dan sebagainya.
Berdasarkan sifat dan system kombinasinya, VISUAL PRESENTER dapat mempunyai fungsi antara lain sebagai pengganti papan tulis beserta perlengkapannya, penyajian materi menjadi lebih praktis, bahan bisa disiapkan di rumah dan dapat digunakan untuk menampilkan objek yang diam maupun bergerak.
